The seven upgrades
1. One motor became two
The K2 drives one wheel with a single 800 W brushless motor. The K2 GT drives both, 1000 W each — 2000 W in total, two and a half times the power. This is the change everything else follows from: it is what lifts the load rating, what makes the extra speed usable rather than theoretical, and what you feel the moment the front wheel goes light on gravel or a kerb.
2. 45 km/h became 55 km/h
The K2 is rated 45 km/h. The K2 GT is rated 55 km/h. In most EU countries the road limit for this class is 20–25 km/h, so read the extra speed as headroom rather than a commute figure — check your local rules before riding on public roads.
3. 15 Ah became 20 Ah
A third more capacity in the same 48 V architecture. It is the single most expensive component to change after the motor, and it is why the range figure moves as much as it does.
4. 60 km became 80 km
Rated range goes from 40–60 km to 60–80 km, a maximum gain of 20 km. In practice that is the difference between a 30 km day being a comfortable round number.
5. 120 kg became 150 kg
Thirty kilos of extra rated payload, which is the rating the ST2 Pro and the K3 MASTER also carry. As with those two, the capacity comes from the drivetrain rather than from a heavier frame.
6. The LCD became a touchscreen
The K2 gives you a colour LCD and a separate control pod. The K2 GT puts a full colour touchscreen on the bars: the number you are looking at is the setting you change. Speed modes run 6 / 10 / 15 / 20 km/h, and the current one stays on screen for the whole ride, so you never stop to check which mode you are in.
7. The key became NFC
NFC keys come in the box — and the scooter can be locked from the TUYA app in one tap. On a dark winter morning with gloves on, this is the upgrade you will appreciate most often.

Should you upgrade from a K2?
Yes, if your route has hills and weight on board — the second motor and the extra 30 kg are the reason the K2 GT exists. Yes, if you regularly finish a ride with less than a quarter of a bar left; 20 km of extra rated range is real. Yes, if you want to set the scooter on a screen and stop carrying a key.
Not necessarily, if your K2 does the job — flat city riding, short trips, one rider, no cargo. Nothing in this list changes the arithmetic of a 10 km commute. An upgrade should fix a problem you actually have.

FAQ
Is the K2 GT a replacement for the K2?
Whether it replaces the K2 for you depends on whether any of those seven changes describes a problem you have — the honest answer is in the section above.
What is the biggest single difference?
The motor count. One 800 W hub became two 1000 W hubs, and the 150 kg load rating follows from that. Everything else — speed, range, payload — is downstream of it or of the bigger battery.
How fast is delivery, and is there customs duty?
Ships from the EU warehouse, usually within 48 hours, typically 3–7 working days. Free shipping within the EU with no customs charges; Norway and Switzerland within 7–12 business days.
What is the warranty?
2-year local warranty backed by KEPOW’s Spain service centre, 14-day returns, support replies within 24 hours on weekdays.
